When we are in battle, our true self shows up…

We are creatures with basal instincts. All thanks to education and the social norms [and more] that we can behave in our best form in ‘normal’ circumstances.

We can put up our best front during interviews, courtship, and in situation where we have calculated the ‘price’ we do / do not want to pay. We are particularly effortful.

However, all of us have been in battle scenarios, either caught off guard, or where we ‘don’t care’, that all guards are down, all systems go for the ‘jugular’. That is when we our true self becomes most apparent.

Most of us would rather not have our true self exposed because we are aware there are some ‘ugliness’ in it. It is better left inside the cave.

So, we must – we owe it ourselves – learn about this true self and get to know where those trigger points are, and gain control over the limbic system that controls the true self. After all, we are the most evolved form….we must have control over our emotions, over our thinking, over our reactions, over our tendencies…….Oh,isn’t that change?

Unless we are proud to be cave people living in 21st century, we should out do each other in the race to be a person most acquainted with oneself.

Let that race start now, not too late!

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
