Appreciating value and transferring value…

One would expect that when I receive value / enjoy it / benefit from it / appreciate it, i would want to adopt that ’value’ and be part of sharing / passing the value forward….part of a learner’s paradigm.

Some people would enjoy / benefit from ‘values’ extended by other people around them, but unconsciously so. As a result they are mere recipients but not a channel. That is rather sad. There is no pass forward nor character growth for those who merely ‘take’.

For us to be good corporate citizens or social citizens in our respective nations or of the world, we must observe, imbibe and transfer good values across cultures.

This applies clearly within the corporate culture too. So often we like what [or how] we feel when someone treats us well, or when we are acknowledged or rewarded or when someone goes out of their way to inspire us, admonish us, coach us, etc. Sadly, it just stops there ie received and forgotten, with just a mere ‘thank you’.  How can values spread then?

For corporate values to pervade the entire company, everyone must do their part to receive, transmit and actively cultivate those values…

Only then will an organisation thrive and continue to thrive, and so sustain for longer term…

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
