A sinus infection got me thinking…

I have had a long history with sinus sensitivity and in the last 7 or so years, it has consistently showed up in Oct and Feb [according to my GP’s record].

Most times i have the post nasal drip that requires me to clear my throat frequently [can be annoying in an enclosed space] or I may cough till I gag…

Sometimes though it gets full blown…extreme pressure headache [literally cannot use my brain or walk around too much], infection with slight fever, and the post nasal drip that does not allow me to sleep.
I am just getting over a bad one, thankfully, though it has been 7 weeks and infection had already set in, I did not have the crippling headache. This time though the facial sinus cavities were so filled with air that one sac was actually stretched and very near my upper dental area – which aggravated my already sensitive teeth. Dentist could not do anything for me b’cos the sensitivity just got me squealing every time he tried to do something. He took an x-ray and showed me the details.

It occurred to me, later, like communities of life, which sometimes intersect very closely, when one community is sensitive, another community gets affected. When some communities get impacted, congested, other communities feel the effect. Conversely, when some communities are flowing freely, other communities feel the effect.

So sinus can affect my teeth, the ears can irritate the nasal sinus, the eyes get itchy etc.
This better be a good lesson because it caused well 800 SGD when the specialist put a scope down my nose and told me what I already knew.

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
