The will to stay on the better of the 2 tracks…

I have come to realise that for me to mature spiritually, and move in obedience to God, I am constantly in need to stay ‘on track.’

Essentially there are 2 tracks in a soul’s journey through life: one which is God’s track and the other is the ‘desires of the flesh’ track. Quite obviously they pull in opposite directions or should I say ‘chug along in opposite directions’. However, the evil one would make the 2 tracks look the same so we can get them confused easily.

When I am in the wrong track, ie when I am all self absorbed and all driven by desires, any effort to ‘do right or do good’ becomes a battle.  If I keep the effort at that level, it is going to drain me. Because there are just too many ways to engage the fleshly desires – just too many battles or fires to fight.

However, if I put my effort in the ‘will’ to switch track, then the results will be evident without the strife. If i wilfully CHOOSE to switch back to God’s track, that will me back on track with God’s plans, I am no longer focused on ‘doing good / doing right’.

Of course, choosing to switch track is not easy but it is certainly a lot easier than focusing on ‘doing good / doing right’. It puts my focus on the source and in my submission, the track will direct my path.

I am glad there are just 2 tracks!

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
