Ancestry….

There was a news report last night that some researcher is using chimps to study how human’s ability to be helpful with one another might have originated from chimps. I hate to think that any goodness in me is due to chimps. I rather give the credit to an almighty creator whose designs are flawless till men mess it up.

To think that we give such great respect to our human ancestors, go to such length to preserve their legacy, and maintain the pride of the family name. Many cultures have rituals around the patriarch of the clan. Now to think that some families even fight because of differences in ancestral worship practices, we end up facing the chimp as our ancestor!!!!

Oh, please!

I am thinking how the human brain has been liken to a computer, a masterpiece, etc.

When we marvel over the Deep Blue / supercomputers, we know teams of experts have worked on it tirelessly. When we see the launch of a NASA’s spacecraft, we think of the number of people who made it happen.

More recently teams who clone animals [like the team in Singapore who successfully cloned Holly, the fish] and teams who place vaccines in the market for bird flu, HINI, etc., are richly rewarded by peer recognition, awards and research grants [possibly share ownership of the company].

The strange thing is why are the big bang scientists not stepping out to challenge these brilliant people and their work. Should not they say these inventions / creations happened because molecules randomly came together.

So, why are we having difficulty giving credit to THE GREATEST scientist, artist, innovator, designer, originator – God! I am thankful I came from God ie He created me and my ancestry traces back to God, not a chimp!

If you choose the chimp as your ancestor, I respect your free will.

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
