Being in the midst of irrationality…

While I try to let my thoughts be taken captive by the Almighty, ie do not go off on irrational trips, it is a whole different ball game to be in the midst of those who are communicating in the realm of ‘who they think you are’ and ‘who they think they are’.

It tends to be a hit / miss type of communication and very tedious and to say the least, very unhealthy.

The complication of communication is never in the techniques, the choice of words or even intonation / volume.  It is in the subconscious of the communicating parties. It is:

What is below the iceberg of one person communicating with what is below the iceberg of another person! Or what is the entire history and environment of one person interacting with the equivalent of the other person.

Many choose to communicate at the surface level to avoid such pains. Only where the communication is with rational like-minded persons, does meaningful exchange occur.

Even with Human Resource practice, it assumes that every staff is a rational thinking individual. Of course, it has to, otherwise it would be impossible to run an operation.

However, we all know too well, that the irrational does exist in the corporate world and all reason and logic will not help. Love and patience might be more appropriate tools for irrationality.

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
