DO NOT ENTER….

I have set myself a Do Not Enter door.

It is not about things or places or even people. Certainly it would not give me the forbidden fruit syndrome.

Things / events / people do not make me mad, sad or glad but it is how I react to them that is the source of anger, bitterness, anxiety, fear, or joy, etc.

It is what is already in me that gets triggered when confronted with external circumstances. As Joyce Meyer said, it is as if when a tube of toothpaste is being pressed upon, what appears – white stuff? Pressures of life, issues of life, pleasures of life, they press upon us, and what comes out of us – purity or ugliness?

I am starting a new project with crazy timelines again. I started to be anxious, and realise that my body is showing signs of stress. That is when I said ‘I will not enter that door!’

I have labelled the Do Not Enter door for thoughts and emotions that are destructive to me. I refuse to allow anxiety to brew within me though the new project has major challenges. How can I be anxious when God has time and time again, out of His grace, provided the necessary interventions and brought me out of the mire.

I will actively send unwarranted emotions, unhealthy thoughts, destructive patterns into the space behind that door.

Nope it shall not have the forbidden fruit appeal, won’t you agree?

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
