Men’s freewill

We marvel at structures such as world tallest buildings, unusual architectures, bridges etc, studying the design principles and styles that are used by the architects and designers of such structures. But these designs can only be as good as the limits on human creativity / innovations.

Yet,

We cannot accept the fact that our bodies are structures with such elaborate design, precise functions and capacities and that it is the work of a marvellous Architect and Designer rolled in one – a creation without limits, which no one can replicate.

We know that peace cannot be found in a home that has 2 matriarchs, or patriarchs.

We also know that a country with more than one Commander-In-Chief, having equal power in similar loci of control, would be most unthinkable and most certainly confusing. Chaos rule when everybody does his or her own thing in any organisation.

Yet,

We seem happy to accept that many gods with similar level of power rule our lives. We don’t feel there is a need to have one Commander-in-Chief whose decisions over-rule all others in our spirit life.

We want approval and recognition for our contributions. We want to be accepted just the way we are. Often we get abused, betrayed, and ignored. Many are devastated as a result, and become bitter and suspicious, leaving behind a trail of sour relationships.

Yet,

We continue to seek it from a cruel world that is unable to deliver. Our families would be the best source of such affirmation. Beyond the family, and even when the family fails, there is an unfailing, faithful King Daddy who has been waiting in the heavens to give that approval and acceptance…..yet rejected, and ostracised by us.

We frown at the thought that we have to report to more than 1 supervisor; whose agendas are opposing and we are obliged to serve both. We take great pains to seek clear lines of reporting and shun duplicity. Successful organisations are built on clear and consistent structures.

They borrow from nature. Every DNA code has a specific role / function and there is no double-hatting. Animal colonies have clear social organisation. In migratory flight, a flock of birds has only one lead bird at a time; and similarly one lead dog for a snow dog sled.

Yet,

We are okay to accept the varied myriads of dos and don’ts from all kinds of sources. Relativity is okay and any spiritual leader is fine, they are the same.

We would make the effort to reach to the original master of wisdom, if he / she still exists. We read their works and directions. We talk about them with such revere / respect, sometimes with a cloud of mystery / superstition.

Yet,

We are opposed to the fact that the one who brought light into the World, is the best source of light, best source of healing, best source of peace, best source of joy…

We would be concerned whether a piece of jewellery, investment, or treasured art is genuine and take great pains to get experts to verify and rule out counterfeits. Banks counter staff are taught how to recognise the original dollar bill with such skills, that they can tell any counterfeit right away.

Yet,

We do not think it is necessary to weed out the father of counterfeits in the matters of the spirit. We think it is absurd to believe in satan and his schemes to cheat, kill, steal and destroy. He is the master of masquerades.

We attribute powers to the elements such as water, stones, metals, etc. In such inanimate objects, lie our fate and to such inanimate object we put our trust.

Yet,

We do not recognise the power of the one who can call up waters and send them away, the one who can turn water to wine, the one who make stones bring forth water, the one who cause a donkey to talk, where all the elements of nature fear and obey.

We spend time, money and great effort to pursue enlightenment, peace, wisdom, and would travel far to get them

Yet,

We poo poo the very hands extended to us, giving all these spiritual fruits – love, peace, joy, longsuffering, patience, kindness, self control…. for free!

Quotations:

God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then, only when we are ready, He gives us course corrections. Like a good river pilot, He steers us away from troubled waters, and like a good coach, He never puts us in the game until we are ready. The journey is never boring.

REMEMBER THIS ABOUT YOU...

Read this out loud to yourself, and mean it!!

I am precious, valuable, lovable and capable.
The world will not be the same without me.
I make a difference in this world, in the community I live in.
I can make another person smile.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I sing for I am loved by a great God whose nature is to give  love, mercy and grace.

  [In Hindi]
  Mai amulya hoon.
Yeh duniya mayray bina wahi nahin rahegi.
Mayray hone say is duniya mein kuch badlav hai.
Mujh se doosre ke chahre pay muskuraahat aati hai.
Mujhe bhayankar se banaya gaya hai.
Mujhe gaana hai ki ek mahaan; ishwhar mujhe pyaar karte.
Hain aur mayray prati daya dikhaate hain.
