While sauntering in to the Leela Palace mall to meet with Sudhir and his wife, at the bookshop, both of us holding the bouquet of flowers that we had received at the fellowship with the children, and on the way up the escalator, I had looked towards the lower floor. Two guys looked up, and I had thought one of them was Sudhir, so I waved. Blame it on my eyes!!! They waved back and smiled.
Eeeks, too late, I don’t know who they were!
Soon, we found the place where we were supposed to meet Sudhir and hoped that we would not see those 2 guys again. At least I did …...
After Sudhir and family had left, we walked around the shops a little since they were still open. We were not in shopping mood, knowing it is Leela [outside of our budget], so we just did the ‘look-see’ bit. We meandered towards a shop in the basement – handicrafts from Kashmir – and the guy who walked out to greet us was one of the 2 men whom I waved to!!!! They run the shop and it was hard to hide my face!
After much persuasion, and unease on my part, I bought some knick knacks for church mates who had been praying for my trip.
